Children's Ministry

Raising children can be a challenge. It may seem like a race against the clock. The future of your child rests in your hands and we want to be there for you. We count it a privilege to provide you with quality programs and activities to help nurture the spiritual growth of your child. Therefore, we believe it is our responsibility to work alongside parents in a supportive role, helping them accomplish the goal God has given them. Our mission is to open children's eyes to become life-long followers of Jesus Christ. We teach Biblical truths to children in small and large group settings through fun, hands-on activities.

Here's What We Have To Offer Children...

Kindergarten through 6th Grade

Talent Encounter

Once a year the children share their talents on a local and district church level. Children are encouraged to develop and use their various talents.

Baby Day

Once a year we honor our infants, birth to two years. A special gift is presented to the child and their parents.

District Children's Camp

During the summer, children 3rd through 6th grade, may attend camp for a week at Canaan Acres in Louisville. While there they gain a better perception of God while also having a barrel of fun!

Missions

Once a month children learn about missions and several times throughout the year they participate in mission projects such as Operation Christmas Child and M&M (Materials for Ministers.)

Bible Club

Children learn Bible skills and encounter Bible truths in small and large-group settings through relevant life-application activities. A team of committed adults utilize their gifts and talents to set up a spiritually enriching and fun environment while serving as positive role-models of what it means to be a follower of Jesus.

Vacation Bible School

Every summer children are encouraged to reach out and invite their friends to attend VBS (Vacation Bible School) with them. Whether done for a full week, a one-day neighborhood VBS or on Sunday mornings for a month, our goal is to expose children to Bible-based truths through songs, crafts, dramatic Bible lessons and snacks. It is our prayer that children will be brought into a relationship with God as a result of these series of lessons presented at VBS.

Seasonal Activities

Throughout the year we offer special events for children and their families such as rollerskating, movies, Summer Blast, field trips and our annual Easter Brunch

M I N I S T R I E S

Children's Ministries is an essential part of Warren First Church of the Nazarene.

We believe that God has called parents to "train up a child in the way he should go."

(Proverbs 22:6)

Children's Choir

Our children sing several times throughout the year and also work toward the Children's Talent Encounter and Christmas musical. The musical, a presentation of the story of Christmas done in contemporary style, is presented during the morning worship service early in December and is very well attended.
