TAPACHULA, MEXICO

It was an overwhelming experience for our 15 Team Members!

We arrived in Tapachula with footlockers full of "special need's items" for Mexico. This included about two-hundred pounds of personal hygiene items, two new sewing machines, typewriters, lots and lots of Sunday School and Vacation Bible School supplies along with regular school supplies, medical items, tools and items too numerous to mention.

Each day the weather was in the nineties.

Daily, many of our Mexican friends worked side-by-side

with us. While the men worked on building the Sunday

School rooms, the women scraped and painted the entire

outside of the church, much of it from scaffolding! The

ladies also made curtains for five rooms of the parsonage.

For two weeks we had lots of spicy, hot Mexican Food, worked together with our Mexican friends, gave many hugs, participated in their exciting services, visited in their homes and waded in the Pacific Ocean.

Enroute home, the Team spent some time sightseeing

in fascinating Mexico City!
