Lynn, Steve?, Blaine, and Doug all working hard to complete the footers and foundations so block for interior walls can be laid.  It looks warm and humid there... hope everyone is drinking plenty of water!
The pastors of the church there send us greetings!  We love it!  Great work, but I think something got lost in the translation... what is the reference to "Flower Yellow?"  Someone from church service said it had to do with a small yellow flower that grows abundantly in Venezuela...
Here are some snippets of the e-mails that Cordie had sent to us during their work in Valencia

"Hello Les and Broe...
This project is GREAT!! ... the team is overwhelmingly doing a great job! the missionsaries say we are "one of a kind" they are projecting at the pace we are going that all block walls will be up, floors poured, roof on and windows in plus some plumbing... all this done by the time we leave."

Cordie also says they will be visiting in Venezuelan homes today (evening).  She says that their first real break from work will be         "a day at the Caribbean beach Monday..."

Cordie also lets us know that "we truly feel your prayers"                                                     Doug says:  "more pictures are on the way!"

Diary Notes:

Wednesday, July 27

Hi Friends-

We have 4 more working days on the Project. (Sun still very hot!)

I’m totally amazed at all that’s being accomplished.  Just about all the block walls are up for the classrooms and bathrooms, plumbing is moving right
along, beams and trusses are being  prepared for the roof, the wall has been
knocked down to extend the sanctuary and join it to the classrooms , painting and beams and rebar work is being done.

The plans are for the roof to be put on Thursday and Friday.  Everyone on the team is working very hard.

Sunday services were great!! PM Service was in the country and we had
competition with a close by bar….

Monday was our day on the Caribbean
beach LOADS of fun!!!

The funeral home, across the street from the church, offered rooms for us to stay in, if necessary.  We declined the offer!

It’s going to be very hard for the team members to say ¨good-bye¨ to our
Venezuelan friends at our farewell party Friday evening.  We truly love these people.  Saturday, we pull out for 2 days in Caracas.

Please continue to hold each of us up in prayer!

Loads of Love,
Cordie and the Team

P.S. Peggy was sick Sunday and was not able to call home.  All is well now!

Note:  Thank God for our good witness to the people in Venezuela!
Thank God we have such a beautiful witness from their spirits to ours!
Thank God for the opportunity we have of sharing with the Venezuelan Body of Christ and helping bring the Gospel of Christ to the people of Venezuela.

I got these pictures today from Doug Bear and I will post them here for you to see.

There was no text with the pictures... so I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves ... with small captions...

We look forward to our team's homecoming and I have a feeling that we will see that banner (from the first picture) in our sanctuary on Sunday-next!
A well-deserved respite from the heat and humidity... a day at the beach!

Enjoy, you guys and gals!
This is a great picture... shows what appears to be the entire "team" of local and Warren First Church workers plus the work that they have accomplished!
Ok, Doug.  I understand...

It's been a tough two weeks what with all the hot, humid weather and the tough work schedule PLUS having to put up with your dad... it's just got to get to a fellow after while...

Note the NON-ALCOHOLIC coconut drink in Doug's right hand!
